I can't tell you how thrilled I was to open my friends page and have the top line be "Busted Wonder - Completed!" Off to read the thing straight through.
thanks for reading, I hope you enjoyed it!
Holy cow, you're done! Hooray! And congratulations on finishing! It was an ambitious project, and it must feel great to be done, but maybe a little sad?
When I hit the donate thingy, I didn't get a place to put a message. Maybe I did something wrong, I don't know... Draw your favorites, though, draw what you want. (Or maybe grown-up Kelly waving to young Kelly from far away, and the sword swallowers were pretty cool and looking back I just noticed that her hand is burnt, but in the end, you're the artist, and I will be thrilled however you decide to go.) (Oh, and I'm pretty sure you can figure it out from the address and so on, but my address is in Santa Cruz...)
Hm, recently I was talking with friends about art for tattoos... Maybe that would be a cool commission, too... I'll have to think about that some.
awesome! I will make you something rad. I'm super glad you enjoyed the story.
Ah HA, and FINALLY we know why it's called "Busted Wonder." I'd been trying to figure that out since the beginning!
Kieron did good with that, didn't he.
Lovely work. Just reread it from the start, and thought that you and Keiron created something quite special. Best of luck with your future endeavours.
Lee.
thank you so much for reading, I'm happy you enjoyed it! and thank you for the good luck wishes!
Wow! Simply awesome ;) Well done Charity!! xx
thank yoooo! I'm glad you enjoyed it <3 <3
I finally got to see the ending! I didn't expect it to be bittersweet, which I suspect is a sign of good writing. And great art - I love the wonder you created with it. :)
BW could be used in the official definition of Bittersweet i think. Thank you for reading and always being so supportive over the years, I really appreciate it!
Cool - I like it. Question: Is there a page 52? I don't get an image for that page...
Thanks for the ride!
Hmm, that is odd. ::goes away and monkeys with it::
It shows up in Firefox but not in Explorer. I wonder why only that page does this?
i probably forgot to put a www in the html when i was marking it up - I will go in and monkey around with it to see if i can get it to fix! thanks for lookin out!
wow. That was a great ride! Thank you for a wonderful tale. I particularly like Astley's little ringside diatribe. Reminds me of the scene in V for Vendetta when V infiltrates the TV station and has his little talk.
And I like the fact that you don't have them say what they are outright, even to the end; you give the audience enough credit to understand from the cutoff quote and their final appearance. THank you for treating me like I have a brain.
I wish there was some way to put this in a print version. I would happily put that on my shelf. This is the kind of work that comics needs more of.
thank you so much for your kind words! I hope that I get to do more work in comics, and eventually make something that can get put on a shelf!
oh and btw I posted a comment to Colleen Doran's blog to let everyone know the last pages were up, incase people missed that or don't have LJ. So, expect some bandwidth incease in the next few hours :-)
whoops, I was kidding about the bandwidth! dang!
Thanks to both of you for a great story.
That is amazing. Thank you for creating such affecting beauty.
thank you for reading, I'm very happy that you enjoyed the story.
Awesome. I'm so thrilled to have been able to watch this story unfold (for how long now?! I don't remember!) Beautiful, sweet, and uplifting... I have always "seen" this book in the format of European BDs and it's a shame that's not in its future.
but... Thank you. Thank you for sharing such a wonderful and magical story. I never knew where it was going but thoroughly enjoyed the ride. The story as is may be done, but I know it will follow me around for a long time to come!
I've read through Busted Wonder three times: once when it was about halfway done, once last year shortly after it finished, and once again just now (as a friend discovered it for the first time and posted about it, impressed).
I've loved it each time.
Thank you for reading, and for your kind feelings. It means a great deal to me to know BW is still floating around out there finding new readers and appreciation.
I just stumbled across "Busted Wonder" recently, and I wanted to say how wondrous and magical it was.
Thank you, and thank you for sharing it with your friends. It means a tremendous ammount to me. :) |
